Gold medal success at the 2018 Junior Pan Pacs in Fiji
ASHTON BRINKWORTH (2010-17)
We have already introduced you to swimming sensation Ashton ‘Dasher’ Brinkworth via the Haleian Magazine – so you will know that he was selected for the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Fiji and the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.
Ashton was given the honour of carrying the Australian flag at the opening ceremony at the Pan Pacs and enjoyed a super-busy schedule competing across seven events. To say he did well is an understatement! He came away with a swag of medals, a huge smile on his face and a whole heap of confidence and experience to take with him to the Youth Olympics in October.
THE RESULTS:
Gold - 50m Freestyle
Silver - 4 x 100m Freestyle
Bronze - 4 x 200m Freestyle
Fourth - 100m Freestyle
