NAB AFL DRAFT PICKS 2019

NAB AFL DRAFT PICKS 2019
29Nov2019

Great news for two Haleians who made the draft.

It has been a big week for many young lads who's lives have changed forever after they were drafted to AFL clubs at the 2019 draft.  We are particularly proud of two Young Haleians who both made the draft:

Mitch Georgiades (2010-19) #18 pick drafted to Port Adelaide.
Although Mitch has been out all year with a quad injury, he had a strong 2018 season, playing in all four NAB Under-18 Championship matches for WA. Now fully recovered from his injury, the tall forward showed strong promise and turned heads at Port Adelaide. He is the son of former Western Bulldogs player John Georgiades, who famously kicked eight goals on debut in 1989 against Carlton.

Jy Farrar (2010-14) # 60 pick drafted to Gold Coast SUNS
At 190cm tall, Midfielder Jy caught the eye of Gold Coast SUNS recruiters with his impressive speed and line-breaking abilities.

We wish Mitch and Jy the best of success with their football and look forward to watching them play next season.
