After school, social dynamics shift. Friendships may change, and new connections are often made in workplaces, universities, or new social circles. Building strong personal and professional relationships becomes increasingly important for emotional support.
Do you want to remain connected and further develop your network and mentorship with Hale staff, students and the wider school community? Why not look into getting involved with some of Hale School’s co-curricular programs.
Throughout the year there are many opportunities for Young Haleians to coach, tutor, and lead student activities.
coaching
A significant proportion of coaching opportunities occur in the co-curricular domain across the areas of sport, debating, public speaking and mock trials. The role of a coach at Hale goes beyond winning and losing and is a way to help guide our students.

TUTORING
Recently graduated top-performing school leavers may also wish to become involved in tutoring students from Years 9 – 12 via our Senior Tutors program. The program runs after school four days per week, from Monday to Thursday in the Forrest Library.

OPPORTUNITIES TO LEAD STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS
In collaboration with Hale School, Young Haleians often return to School to engage with the current students. This may be in the capacity as a guest speaker for an event or providing insight and guidance into career pathway options they have taken.
Additionally, we encourage recent school leavers to participate in facilitating a series of workshops with Year 10 students titled “Conversations with an Old Boy”. These lunchtime workshops are conducted twice a year in June and October and provide an opportunity for Young Haleians to reflect on and share with the students their own behaviours and academic and social experiences and how these experiences have shaped them as individuals.
