Our goal continues to be about making House Hubs more central. As
            • Increasing awareness around factors contributing to
physical and mental wellbeing. such, two new house hub premises will be included in the Memorial

            • Encouraging and modelling healthy life choices.

Paula Santos, Head of Student Wellbeing, said student
voice is key in empowering students to care for
            themselves and each other.
“As teachers and parents, we sometimes make
assumptions about what is best for student wellbeing
with little input from the students themselves. Enabling
students to have a voice and see themselves as active
participants within their wellbeing journey at Hale
and beyond shows them that they are considered key
stakeholders and have the capacity to contribute to their
            own wellbeing.”

Wellbeing Committee member Ruairidh Avern, a Year 12
            boarding student, agrees.
“This committee is a great initiative and adds to the
overall Hale experience. Wellbeing can sometimes be
overlooked, and this is a good way to bring attention to
topics that aren’t usually the main focus.”
