GIVING DAY

The campaign for the Memorial Hall and
Performing Arts Precinct culminated in Hale’s
inaugural online Giving Day on 2 November and
received tremendous support from the Hale
community!
The aim of the Giving Day was to provide an
opportunity for all in the Hale community to
support the School in realising this next exciting
project. An ambitious target of $600,000 was
set for the day and the page was switched to
live from midnight. Watching the honour roll and
donor names scrolling across the day showed the
incredible support from the wider Hale community
for this state-of-the-art project.

Sincere thanks to the Forrest family who
generously committed to matching every donation
to help reach the overall campaign target of $5
million. This created immense interest in the
day and provided additional incentive for the
community.
Donations were received from across the country
and the globe, and from across the wider Hale
community of Old Haleians, current and past
families, current and past staff, boarding families
and so on. With 475 donors on the day, the initial
target of $600,000 was reached shortly after
6.30pm and continued to rise to an incredible
$730,550 – well and truly exceeding expectations.
Thank you to each and every contributor who made
this possible. We can’t wait to welcome you to a
thank you event on campus in 2023 to give you a
sneak peek of the redevelopment and the amazing
facility that you have generously supported.
